I think something that was interesting about the structures were the triangles on the square. It was neat that the triangles made the square more stabilized. Next time we do that I will put the triangles

Over the past few days on structures I learned that triangles are the most stable of all the shapes you use to build. Some thing that I found interesting is that squares slide easily but when you brace it it is way stronger.

I made a dome out of marsh mellows and tooth picks. It was marsh mellow torture. It was also in 3D and had many stabbed tooth picks in it.

DID: We watched all different kinds of video's that showed us all of these wacky and creative structures like furniture and buildings.
LEARNED: I learned that triangles are one of the most strongest shapes. A triangle is a dead load.
FOUND INTERESTING: One of the things I have found interesting is that paper Tubes can hold up tons of textbooks and sometimes even phone books.
HAVE A QUESTION ABOUT: One of my questions is: Can different kids of triangles hold up textbooks and phone books?

We folded paper and tried to make it into a succsesful structure. We also saw who could make the tallest and sturdiest tower using playdough. we also saw videos about the strangest structures in the world.

We were working on structures. One thing we did was we made structures out of paper. We made them so we could see if they could stand the wind. Mine's kept getting blown by the wind. I had a super hard time but I still had fun!

Something interesting about structures is that it can help you in different ways and it also helps things stand straight and strong like bridges, chairs, and couches.

Today I learned about domes and arches. We build a Geodome with marshmellows and toothpicks. In the beggining we learned that triangles are stable.

I wonder if we could build anything out of marshmallows and toothpicks such as a bridge or a shelf? Today's activity was amazing and complicated too! It was also fun and challenging! I love making things out of random things!

Over the past few days I did projects on structures. One of the first projects we did was turning a weak material, such as paper, into something stronger by folding the paper. I learned that structures can be bridges, houses, even furniture! I found interesting that structures can be really wacky. I wonder how many structures there are in the world

Today I the Building big website exploration. I learned that triangles hold up better and are stronger than squares. I found it interesting that geodomes are really hard to make. I was wondering why geodomes fall apart but they have triangles.
